The City of Sanibel has received notification from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service that the prescribed burn on the Legion Curve will be postponed today due to current rains.

Monday, July 14th, Prescribed Burn ALL CLEAR Tuesday, July 15th, FINAL BURN PROCEEDS Sections of Shared Used Path Will Be Closed

The City of Sanibel has received notification from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service that the prescribed burn on the Gavin Site is complete. The City has been given the all clear for today’s burn.

The Sanibel Recreation Center would like to recognize this summer’s Counselors In Training (CITs): Othello De Groote, Sofia Halbisen, Anna Kjoller, Michael O’Brien, Nick Smith, Katherine Strange and Madi Weigel.

The City of Sanibel has been issued a notice from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service that a prescribed burn will be implemented on Monday, July 14, 2014 at approximately 11:00 a.m.
