The City of Sanibel is seeking Fitness Instructor quotes for fiscal year 2017 (October 1, 2016 – September 30, 2017).

Today’s Prescribed Burn of the Bailey Tract is Complete City has been given the All Clear

The City of Sanibel has received notification from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (J. N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge) that the prescribed burn the Bailey Tract is complete. The City has been given the all clear.

Road to Sanibel Lighthouse will be closed due to necessary utility work

The road to the Sanibel Lighthouse will be closed on June 22, 2016 for the installation of a water service / meter by Island Water Association, weather permitting.

Prescribed Burn of the Sanibel Bailey Tract Scheduled for Tuesday, June 21, 2016

The City of Sanibel has been issued a notice from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge that a prescribed burn of the Bailey Tract will be implemented on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, with a back-up date of Wednesday, June 22, 2016.

New summer expanded leisure pool and slide hours begin on Monday, June 20th.

American Red Cross Community CPR / AED / First Aid Sanibel Recreation Center Friday, June 24th

The American Red Cross Community CPR / AED / First Aid course will be held Friday, June 24th from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Sanibel Recreation Center.

Following Hurricane Charley in 2004, an endowment fund was established with the Southwest Florida Community Foundation to provide scholarships for dependents of City employees.
