Mayor Denham serves as the Council liaison to the City of Sanibel Planning Commission and the Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council’s Charlotte Harbor Policy Committee, Lower West Coast Watersheds Subcommittee, Northern Everglades Committee and the Tourism Development Council. Mr. Denham also serves as the alternate Voting Delegate for the Florida League of Cities, is a member of the Florida League of Cities' Urban Planning Council and is a member of the Florida League of Cities' Environmental Quality Committee. The Audubon of Southwest Florida recently awarded Mayor Denham "Conservationist of the Year".
Vice Mayor Kevin Ruane
Term of Office March, 2007 - March, 2009
Vice Mayor Kevin Ruane serves as the Council liaison to the Audit Committee, General Employee Pension Board, and Police Pension Board. He is a member of the Florida League of Cities Taxation and Finance Committee, an alternate liaison to the Metropolitan Planning Commission, and serves as the Council liaison to the Community Housing Resources (CHR) Board of Directors.
Councilmember Jim Jennings

Councilmember Jim Jennings serves as the Council liaison to the City of Sanibel Parks and Recreation Committee. Mr. Jennings also serves as liaison to the Southwest Florida League of Cities of which he is the President. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Florida League of Cities, and serving an appointment to the Florida League of Cities Legislative Committee. Councilmember Jennings serves as the liaison to the Lee County Horizon Council and Metropolitan Planning Commission.
