New fitness, aquatics, and youth programs!
Expanded Aerobics at the Senior Center
Expanded aerobics classes will be available at the Senior Center. Starting Monday, January 5th an additional class will be offered at 11:00 am.
New Water Aerobics Class Schedule at Sanibel Recreation Center
Starting on Friday, January 2nd, there will be new hours for all water aerobics classes. The new schedule is based on patron input and cooler morning temperatures.

Guided Native Plant Tour at City Hall on December 17th- Hosted by Vegetation Committee
The City of Sanibel Vegetation Committee will offer a guided native plant tour of City Hall grounds, which have been planted solely with native plants, on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 beginning promptly at 10 a.m.
The Sanibel Recreation Center Will Be Open December 24th
The City of Sanibel Recreation Center will be open until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2008.
Sanibel Recreation Center’s New Year’s Eve Celebration
All ages are invited to participate in the Sanibel Recreation Center’s New Year’s Eve Celebration! This old-fashioned Sock-Hop family event will take place Wednesday, December 31st from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Sanibel Recreation Center, 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road.

As a reminder, refuse, recycle and vegetative waste collection by Waste Pro will be one day later beginning Thursday, December 25, 2008.

Christmas and New Year’s Holiday Hours for ALL City Operations and Refuse Collection
SANIBEL CITY HALL OFFICES will be closed in observance of Christmas on Thursday & Friday, December 25 & 26, 2008, and will resume regular operating hours on Monday, December 29, 2008.

Blind Pass Beach Advisory !!!
The City has been informed by Mr. Robert Neal, P.E., Lee County Division of Natural Resources, that the Blind Pass dredging project is attracting sharks.
