Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation Seeking Volunteers to Plant Mangrove Seedlings

As part of the on-going Community Restoration effort in Clam Bayou, the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) is seeking volunteers to plant red mangrove seedlings in the Bayou.

Restoration project in Clam Bayou will be held on the following dates:

  • September 10th and 11th (Friday and Saturday)
  • September 13th, 14th, 15th (Monday-Wednesday)
  • September 23rd and 24th, (Thursday and Friday)
  • September 27th and 28th (Monday and Tuesday)
  • October 8th and 9th (Friday and Saturday)
  • October 11th (Monday)
  • October 22nd (Friday)
  • October 25th, 26th and 27th (Monday-Wednesday)
  • October 29th and 30th (Friday and Saturday)
  • November 5th and 6th (Friday and Saturday)
  • November 8th-13th (Monday-Saturday)

Participants MUST be at least 16 years of age and MUST pre-register. Volunteers that can bring their own kayak or canoe are encouraged to do so.
