Sanibel Permitted Special Events - Weekend of November 19th & 20th

Please read this article for City of Sanibel permitted events happening this weekend. Don't miss this TRAFFIC ALERT for the Sanibel Causeway.

TRAFFIC ALERT! - Due to the Youth Fishing Derby permitted by Lee County, motorists may experience traffic delays on the Sanibel Causeway, 8 a.m. to Noon, November 19th. Motorists should plan their travel accordingly.

The following Special Events have been permitted by the City of Sanibel for this weekend:

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19th

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Island Seniors’ Fall Treasure & Trash Bazaar
Center-4-Life, 2401 Library Way

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. - Marilyn’s Exotic Orchid Sales at the Village Shops
2340 Periwinkle Way

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20th

8 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Sanibel Island Farmer’s Market at City Hall
800 Dunlop Road
This open air market features 30 vendors including baked goods, live plants, honey, pasta, cheese, sausages, fresh fish, fresh produce, and organic veggies.

6:45 p.m. Sanibel Thanksgiving Community Celebration
Sanibel Community House (SCA), 2173 Periwinkle Way

The Sanibel Historical Museum and Village, 950 Dunlop Road, is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Museum and Village was founded in 1984 with a mission to preserve and share Sanibel’s unique history from the Calusa and Spanish eras to the early pioneer families who settled on the island in the 1800’s.

The City of Sanibel is a “walkable and bikeable” community and features one of the most extensive shared use paths in the State of Florida. Attendees to these special events are encouraged to enjoy our good nature, bicycle to these events and stay FIT-4-LIFE!
