Sanibel Permitted Special Events Weekend of November 7th and 8th Cast Net Rodeo and the Sanibel Island Farmer’s Market

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The following Special Events have been permitted by the City of Sanibel for this weekend:

  • Saturday, November 7th 2009 - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Cast Net Rodeo at the Bait Box, 1041 Periwinkle Way
    This event is open to the public. No admission fee. A family fun event featuring free cast net lessons. Kids, youth and adult cast net competition.
  • Sunday, November 8th, 2009 - 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Sanibel Island Farmer’s Market at Tahitian Gardens,1975 Periwinkle Way
    This open air market features 30 vendors including baked goods, live plants, honey, pasta, cheese, sausages, fresh fish, fresh produce, and organic veggies.

The City of Sanibel is a “walkable and bikeable” community and features one of the most extensive shared use paths in the State of Florida. Attendees to these special events are encouraged to enjoy our good nature, bicycle to these events and stay FIT-4-LIFE.
