Sanibel Recreation Department Recognizes Volunteer of the Month Lisa Herms

Lisa Herms was the recreation center’s first Junior Volunteer. She has been volunteering at the Sanibel Recreation Center for almost 2 years with youth programs such as the After School Program, Fun Days and Summer Recreation Camps. Lisa has participated in the various youth programs at the recreation center since she was in elementary school. Currently, she is a junior in the IB Program at Fort Myers High School. When asked about the recreation center and her volunteering experience, Lisa states, “I love working with the kids and I feel good about what I am doing. I am now considering a career in the future that involves working with children. The recreation center is such a great place for people of all ages. It is fun to see the young and old interacting and working together!”
