Solid Waste Service Notice
Effective October 1, 2010, Veolia Environmental Services will be the City’s franchised solid waste hauler. Please read this article for more information.
Residential customers will see no change in collection days or service levels, but will be assessed on their annual property tax bill for the service rather than receive a quarterly invoice from the hauler. All commercial customers need to contact the Veolia Customer Service Department at (239) 334-1224 to execute a Customer Service Agreement prior to September 25, 2010 to avoid disruption of service.
Lee County’s change to single stream recycling will not impact the City’s current use of the 18-gallon recycling bins or what materials can be placed in the bins. All customers are reminded that waste must be properly prepared for pickup.
