Tarpon Bay Road Shared Use Path Improvements from Island Inn Road to West Gulf Drive (Path and Drainage Improvements)
Beginning Monday, July 30, the City of Sanibel’s contractor, Bonness, Inc., will begin the scheduled Shared Use Path Improvements from Island Inn Road to West Gulf Drive. The contractor has 45 days to complete the project.
The Shared Use Path will be closed in the areas that the contractor is working and pedestrian traffic will be diverted to the grass shoulder along the east side of Tarpon Bay Road. All path users are alerted to use due caution while traveling around the construction areas. Walking bikes through these areas is highly recommended as there will be pedestrian traffic coming and going in both directions.
