Update - Sanibel-Captiva Road Shared Use Path (Pine Avenue to Blind Pass Bridge)

Construction work on the Sanibel-Captiva Road shared use path extension and road resurfacing from Pine Avenue to Blind Pass Bridge is continuing. Asphalt paving of the roadway and new shared use path will begin on Tuesday, October 11th and take approximately three days to complete.

Update -
Sanibel-Captiva Road Shared Use Path (Pine Avenue to Blind Pass Bridge)

Construction work on the Sanibel-Captiva Road shared use path extension and road resurfacing from Pine Avenue to Blind Pass Bridge is continuing. Asphalt paving of the roadway and new shared use path will begin on Tuesday, October 11th and take approximately three days to complete. One way traffic in this area will be maintained, but users of Sanibel-Captiva Road should plan on additional travel time when accessing or leaving the west end of Sanibel and/or Captiva. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained at all times. The public is reminded to DRIVE SLOWLY and CAUTIOUSLY through the area when workers are present.

This project has been awarded to Seaton Paving & Sitework, Inc. in the amount of $80,196.80. All construction work is scheduled to be completed by November 3rd.
