Want to View Beautiful, Colorful Native Vegetation in Field Conditions?
The City of Sanibel Vegetation Committee is again offering a guided native plant tour of City Hall grounds, which have been planted solely with native plants. The next tour will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010.
Vegetation Committee members will provide information on proper planting and care of native vegetation. The City of Sanibel encourages planting of vegetation that is indigenous to the area, as it requires very little maintenance, NO fertilizer, and NO supplemental irrigation.
The guided tour begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. Registration is not required. Attendees meet at the main entrance to City Hall, 800 Dunlop Road, in front of the main staircase.
