REMINDER!
Tomorrow, Monday, April 21st, 2008 at 3 p.m., citizens of Sanibel are invited to attend the dedication of Community Park located at 2221 Periwinkle Way. Sanibel Dairy Queen is donating 350 ice cream sandwiches to be served at the dedication.
The City of Sanibel’s Community Park features a playground, shuffleboard court, pavilion with picnic tables, sand volleyball, open green space, picnic grove, bike racks, parking and restrooms. Access to Community Park also connects with the Periwinkle shared-use path. Facilities will be open and available for recreational use at the dedication.
Funding for acquisition and development of Community Park was provided by the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) in grant amounts totaling $361,236. Additional funding totaling $298,841 came from Community Park and Regional Park Impact Fees.
