Sanibel Outdoor Movie Premier of

JERRY SEINFELD’S “BEE MOVIE” –

SHOWING AT THE SANIBEL BALL FIELDS

On Friday, April 18th, at 8 p.m., the City of Sanibel Recreation Department will be hosting Family Movie Night at the Sanibel Ball Fields, 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road. The feature presentation will be Jerry Seinfeld’s “Bee Movie,” a Golden Globe nominated film, projected on a 36- foot outdoor jumbo screen.

Join Barry B. Benson (Jerry Seinfeld), a recent college graduate as he sets out on an adventure to get more out of life than the inevitable career that awaits him and every other worker in New Hive City, a job at Honex-making honey.  Barry jumps at the chance to venture out of the hive, and soon encounters a world beyond his wildest dreams.  When Barry inadvertently meets a quirky florist named Vanessa (Renee Zellweger), he breaks one of the cardinal rules of beedom-he talks to her.  A friendship soon develops, and Barry gets a guided crash course in the ways of the human race.  When he shockingly discovers that anyone can purchase honey right off the grocery store shelf, he realizes that his true calling is to stop this injustice and set the world right by suing the human race for stealing the bees’ precious honey.

Enjoy the movie with family and friends at this family-oriented event. Bring your own non-alcoholic beverages, a lawn chair or blanket, and get ready to relax for a pleasant Spring Break evening under the stars.  Family Movie Night is a tobacco and alcohol free event.
