Bridge A
Miscellaneous activities necessary to finalize the work on the bridge deck may require work in and around the travel lanes and will have traffic control measures in place during daylight hours for the next several weeks. Caution is advised.
Bridge B
Miscellaneous activities necessary to finalize the work on the bridge deck may require work in and around the travel lanes and will have traffic control measures in place during daylight hours for the next several weeks. Caution is advised.
Bridge C
Miscellaneous activities necessary to finalize the work on the bridge deck may require work in and around the travel lanes and will have traffic control measures in place during daylight hours for the next several weeks. Caution is advised.
Island Roadways & Sanibel
Upcoming work activities with potential impacts to traffic:
Miscellaneous activities necessary to complete the work on the roadways may require work in and around the travel lanes and will have traffic control measures in place during daylight hours for the next several weeks. Caution is advised.
Truck traffic from Bridge C demolition activities entering and exiting the roadway on Sanibel. Caution is advised.
Bridge Demolition
Upcoming work activities with potential impacts to vehicle and/or boating traffic:
The demolition of old Bridge A and C continues, boaters must not travel under or around the old bridge, except the designated navigation channel until demolition is complete. The work can cause safety issues with the stability of the bridges during demolition.
The Bridge A navigation channel will be restricted this period while work continues adjacent to the navigation channel.
Toll Plaza
Miscellaneous activities necessary to complete the work on the roadways on both sides of the toll plaza may require work in and around the travel lanes and will have traffic control measures in place during daylight hours for the next several weeks. Caution is advised.
Boat Ramp Parking Area/ Restrooms/Fish Cleaning Station
Upcoming work activities with potential impacts to traffic and/or toll/bridge operations:
Construction of the new restrooms in the boat ramp parking area has begun and could impact traffic flow through the boat ramp parking area for the next several months. NOTE: There will be NO restroom facilities at the boat ramp until the new restrooms are completed.
Personnel using the boat ramp advised that construction is continuing in some areas and caution should be used.
Island B Restrooms
Upcoming work activities with potential impacts to the public and/or traffic:
Renovation of the existing restrooms will cause the restrooms to be closed until approximately March, 2008. Portable toilets will be provided, but no water will be available.
Work areas around the restroom work have been fenced off to protect the public from construction activities. These areas are restricted and the public should remain outside of the fenced areas.
Boat Ramp Parking Area/ Restrooms/Fish Cleaning Station
Work to continue on the site improvements for the new restrooms and fish cleaning station. Upcoming work activities with potential impacts to traffic and/or toll/bridge operations:
· Construction of the new restrooms in the boat ramp parking area has begun and could impact traffic flow through the boat ramp parking area for the next several months. NOTE: There will be NO restroom facilities at the boat ramp until the new restrooms are completed.
