The BIG ARTS Herb Strauss Theater, 2200 Periwinkle Way, is offering Sanibel Recreation Center Member Rates with a discount ticket price for all City of Sanibel Recreation Center members.

In coordination with the City of Sanibel’s island-wide Brazilian Pepper Eradication Program and the City’s waste hauler, Veolia, a free curbside pickup for Brazilian pepper debris is scheduled for Thursday, February 16th and Friday, February 17th for all properties in Zone 6.

Due to the positive response last year, the City of Sanibel Vegetation Committee is again offering guided native plant tours of City Hall grounds, which have been planted solely with native plants.

City of Sanibel Director of Recreation Andrea Miller has been awarded a full scholarship to the intensive 4 ½ day leadership program, Leadership Flight School™.

The City will be repairing two sanitary sewer manholes on Periwinkle Way between Purdy Lane and Dunlop Road on Thursday night, January 12, 2012, beginning approximately 11:00pm and finishing at 6:00am the next morning.
